Ok..... i decided yesterday that i wanted a server. But i have absolutly NO knowledge of how to do it. i would REALLY appreciate it if someone would guide me through the process, or give me a like to a blog that would. I want the server to have stuff like safezone and whatnot, but the problem is that i dont know what kind of server that is. like i said, i would REALLY appreciate it if someone would help me.

Another thing you could look at is this forum; http://www.planetminecraft.com/forums/minecraft-servers.html there are some great ideas at the top in the pinned items about creating servers. Specifically http://www.planetminecraft.com/forums/server-setup-information-t473.html is a great post on putting up a Vanilla and/or Bukkit.
