well, ive been trying to install bukkit on the server and ive emailed the host and they seem to never reply!

You need to check the "use custom .jar file" option in your control panel. If that button doesn't, you'll have to get your host to enable it for your custom jar file. Also, have you checked if they don't have a bukkit template on their control panel?
