I want to crate a house that can change color based on what blocks You place in a certain area. For example if you place wood in the designated area it would fill another area with wood.

I know how to use /fill but i just want to make the block that gets filled depend on what block is placed in a certain coordinate. .I hope I was clear enough.

Hello,
The quick and dirty way of doing it is using duplication: first you clone the block to a single piece of the house, then you clone the block to a second piece of the house right next to the first. Then you clone those to pieces to another part of the house right next to it. By now you've pasted 4 blocks using 3 commands, and if you repeat this four more times you've pasted 64 blocks with 7(?) commands.

Better and more complicated methods are available, I'm sure.

No. I need the "block" to mean whatever type of block in placed in certain coordinates. For example if I place wood in a hole somewhere else gets filled with wood.
