Need help with low player amount

Hello, could anyone please help me resolve a big issue on my server?
I have a lot of positive user feedback, but when I repost my server it only gets like 3 players and they disconnect in like 5 minutes. I got a very low player amount on my server and I don't know why. If anyone could help me resolve this problem feel free to visit my server play.mikecraft.nl . Maybe lag is causing the problem or is there anything else wrong with my server?

You could try checking if the server is lagging with a ping. Maybe you're needing a little bit more people to make it a better community so others might like to stay. Also, not always will new members stay. It will take a while to find users that are interested in being a part of the server and having fun, sometimes communicating and helping them out a bit helps them understand the server.
