Need help with plugins. Also a POLL!

Hello,
In a couple weeks, I will be getting a new computer, so I can play minecraft more smoothly. I will also be starting a semi-vanilla server. I want it to be simple. Plugins i know I want to have are Essentials and lockette. But the reason i'm here is to ask you, what is a simple land protection system i can use, and other players can, by just placing a block down. I know a server that uses this with spider webs, but i don't know the name. If there is a similar plugin, or you know this exact one, please drop a comment, thank you...
Also if you can, vote for a plugins i'm on the fence about.

For the stats plugin (if you add it) I recommend MCMMO, it's definitely the best one around.
