Need help with port forwarding.
Hello!
As you may know, lately most of the countries went into quarantine, which means that the queues for free server hosting websites are now very long. That led me to the idea to host my own minecraft server. I read many guides and set everything up. From the files part, everything seems to be working fine. Although my problem is that even after port forwarding, my friends aren't able to connect to the server. Is there a way any fyou could help me?
Some extra information:
1) They are trying to connect to the correct ip: [my ip]:25565
2) My router is a Huawei B525s-23a
3) I am 90% certain that I forwarded the ports correctly

VPN can sometimes give lag issues. If your setup doesn't then no problem. If you need to have another try, here is the well known 'Port Forward' web page for how to set up your router (well, one vey similar to it) :
https://portforward.com/huawei/e5186s-22a/
with screen shots from the 23a version of your router:

The other issue is if java is being blocked from getting out from the server machine. This can be tested if you have 2 machines on the same network by setting the server up on one of them and getting the other machine to connect with a minecraft client installed.

Update: I have decided to use a VPN instead.
