Need help with server! Will pay!
I have a mac, is there any possible way to install mods (not plugins) to a minecraft 1.8.1 server? I just want buildcraft and mo's creatures.
I will possibly pay $$ if anyone can give me a pre-modded minecraft_server.jar loaded with Mo's Creatures and build-craft mod.

Make a bukkit server and use plugins (mods for servers).
Some singleplayer mods are compatible with servers using modloaderMP.

well im not much help(no help at all) but can i join this server if yes please tell me the ip.
Actually, there is Bukkit plugin called "ItemCraft" which allows the use of SP mods in multiplayer. There are also various SP mods with SMP vanilla server mod counterparts, Mo' Creatures for example. The one thing you need to note though, is that all player on your server will need the SP mod for the SMP mod to work.
Sorry but you can't install mods to servers unless the person who made the mod makes it a plugin. You could ask the person who made Mo' Creatures to try to make it a server plugin. Here's the link -> http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/81771-v181-mo-creatures-v2132-with-smp/
You can't put Single player mods in a multiplayer server sorry
