Hey guys, I have minecraft (Obviously) and earlier, my internet just stopped. No reason, just stopped. This was about 30 min ago. Now every time I try to log onto multiplayer. It will pause for a few seconds. I can move, but nothing else can. I can break blocks and everything, but not get the item. I have tried many times to log onto multiplayer, and it pauses, and kicks me, saying 'Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.timeout.ReadTimeoutException'. How do I fix this? Please help. I have restarted minecraft, my monitor, my router, unplugged my computer completely, everything. Please make the help easy. Im not even in highschool yet, and don't know java code.

Dude, if you have Trojan or Trojan Horse you are massively screwed.

Well, if you're looking for antivirus, I'd suggest using Kapersky. I can't really say why it's good, but I've gotten around 3-7 trojans on my computer, and Kapersky does a great job of removing them. The first time I got a trojan I had a miniature heart attack.

Hmm... Perhaps someone accidently unplugged the router? Or if you think you have a virus, I'd say you get Microsoft Security Essentials, http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download and run a "Full Scan" (Note: This could take hours, depending on how much stuff is on you computer.) A full scan, scans everything on your computer.

I know. I don't know how to get rid of Babylon though. I manually deleted it off my hard drive, but it never left.. o-o
And thankfully, Norton subscription will die in a few months. Norton is a bad thing. It slows down THE CRAP out of your computer.

This isn't related to the internet issue, but the virus issue.
You should really get a better antivirus software if it's not catching viruses, and get rid of the virus. Poor security against viruses means you're definitely more likely to get something potentially destructive, and living with a virus on your computer isn't exactly the smartest idea.
Ever seen any old viruses? Those things could be nasty - leave your computer for a few months or years with one of those, and it's gone.

Dang, to be 12 your better at coding and im almost 13 xD
But no, no DDOsing, and I know more about my computer than my mom knows about a xBox controller .-. I also cant change my internet thingy ma bob, due to money and funding reasons.
This probably has nothing to do with it, but I do have a virus. *Cough* Babylon *Cough cough* And Norton anti-virus.

Norton is such a wimp it cant catch Babylon. Babylon, you suck too >:O

There is a very low possibility that someone is DDOSing you. that would explain why your internet is lagged out to that extent. But, you said this was happening for 2 years and a ddos costs too many rescources to set up and execute than you can rule this out as a possibility. My advice is to ask your parents to switch ISP's (internet service providers) and see if that helps. Also, check if either someone else is tapping into you internet or if any other programs are using up your bandwith. To check programs on your current computer go to ->Task manager -> Proformance -> resource moniter/manager->Network write them down along with the data and numbers and post them here.

Best of luck, Jason

Ps. I am 12.

...

This is hopeless. Go onto the java site and make sure you have the latest version of java installed.

This probably isn't the problem, but have you made sure your java is up to date?

Well, my internet is serverly slow, but minecraft uses internet and it works almost perfect. And ive tried doing the webstie. It never would load correctly. I have no idea how to fix this. To be honest, it has done this before, and I have tried everything. The only way I was able to fix it was to wait. I had to was for 1-2 years. No lie.

You said that Minecraft is acting up on Multiplayer, meaning that you may have internet lag. Make sure you do take a speediest and post the results here.

I cant do a speedtest. For some odd reason, only certain webpages will fully load. speedtest.net sadly will not fully/correctly load. Ive treid leaving the web page open for hours at a time to no loading would be done.

From the sounds of it your internet connection might be slow or you might have a high ping. Perhaps try doing a ping test to see if your internet is up to scratch... http://www.speedtest.net/
