Yeah its so cheap cause your host is shit.
HAH. 2000 SLOTS? Your a joke. The internet bill for something like that would be massive. MASSIVE. Otherwise it would bottleneck. Minecraft generally has around a max of like 300. Now, for $20 your getting just plain unrealistic. The machinery you would need for that wont be that cheap for another... oh atleast a century. Probably more. If you wanted to own a server that could actually manage 300 players without lag your looking at about 500 dollars a month. Probably more, depends on quality. VPS's cost generally $5-50. But, if you aren't experienced with Unix, and SSH don't get one.
Saying that you want 2000 slots just for fun isn't going to cut it on most MC Hosts. Basically, if you're really set on that, you're going to want to purchase a VPS, and run your owns server software there.
