Need Server Tips
So I run a minecraft server, which doesn't have much players on daily. Could I get some tips to see what could attract them more? My server is a factions/pvp server.

Thanks! I have used it before and it has worked wonders, everyone is so organized and not screaming at mods for help, when they are working with another player. What is this nine strike system? It seems almost lenient >.< I always worked with the "Three Strikes Your Out" but that's just me XD

Sure I guess!
When people need help or want to ask questions, I usually set up a "help" desk, a special warp that people go to where they can wait in line for help, that way you don't have so many people on chat asking for one mods help! Just make sure that a moderator is online, if they aren't, have the generic questions in a book and have that accessible to everyone in the help room...
Be strict, set up a firm rule system, like if swearing is against the rules, have it so that the first time is a warning. Then if they do it again, kick them as another warning. If they still do it, temporarily ban then so it gets their attention. And if that doesn't work, you have no choice but to ban them, which is sad, but it will show the other players that your not one for a trouble maker...
You should also come up with different ways to make your server stand out from that other guy with a faction/PvP server. It might not be the most original ideas, but if you twist it in ways that are unique, your sure to have more traffic on a server...
Make some "side show attractions" if you don't have any thing other than PvP and factions, make some mini games with warps in the spawn, that way people won't just have to do PvP, they can spice things up...
Again, I hope this helps! And if you need some more tips, I can come up with more if you want!

I like the help desk system, it's original. My server has a 9 strike system for breaking rules. I can explain it if you'd like. Anyway, great tips again!
Well, to start off, you need to be dedicated to every player, you don't just say "Welcome To Our Server" and leave it at that, you need to be involved with the players needs and strive for making them feel welcome and able to ask for help when they need it...
You should advertise it enough so people see it, but don't be one of those people who spam it in chat and then get banned, that would be bad...
You shouldn't look at how many people are on your server, you should look for how many come back to play again...
And most importantly use common sense, you don't want to be in god mode and face someone in PvP that would make you look like a jerk and have been on a couple which do that, not pretty!...
I hope this helped! Btw, I have run my own server and do know how to run a successful on, if you need anymore help, just ask...
