my nether isnt spawning skeletons i have tried deleting and spawning a new one but this gives me a different issue
My nether = no skeletons
New nether = portal issue... when i create a nether portal in my area and my friend creates one in his they lead to the same place in the nether & returning will return us to which ever portal was activated first
have i done something wrong or not done something pls help

Weird... I had a 1.3.1 world and after I went on it in 1.4, I saw a skeleton. I only have seen 1 so far. Maybe Minecraft is glitching out for you. Running some mods might have an effect.

in 1.3 we both had our portals in separate areas on overworld and they linked to separate portals in the nether.. IF i create a new nether (because the skeletons dont spawn in my 1.3 nether at all) the portals link to the same location
is there any reason why i cant have separate portals now yet i could in 1.3

& yes i know they only spawn in fortresses and i spent over an hour walkin round my 1.3 fortress seeing none and 5 mins on a new one and saw loads

Remember the skeletons only spawn in Nether Fortress and are a bit rare so be patient. About the portal, the portal will create a new one in the Nether if it cant detect one in there, but you and your friends both spawn in the same one because his/your both detect the same portal so you will spawn there.
