Hi, I have a question to ask you, how can you create a Nether portal on any block, I saw a Hub that had a Nether portal on the trunks obviously did not lead anywhere it was only aesthetic, how is it created? I would like to do it on my world but only for aesthetics. Here is a screenshot so you can better understand what I'm looking for, I's not made of glass, and like the Nether portal I can go through it

But is it possible to disable access to the portal? and make them go to the Nether with a Warp !!!

I believe you have to summon the portal block because they got rid of the actual block in a update

Never mind sorry you can only do it in bedrock, which sucks because it would be a cool feature in Java. What you could do is use glass panes and use an optifine texture pack so when you rename a certain glass pane it looks like a cool portal.
Mmm, I already have a pack of textures made by me, I could do it, but you can't go through the glass.
unless you make a data pack so where to touch the glass it teleports you to another part of the world or another dimension, you could also do the same with commands which would be more simple than stuffing the commands in a folder.
I could make a texture, but the problem is that only me and not the other users would see it, my server is public and not private. ;)

Thanks to everyone for the answers, but I saw that it is not feasible, I managed to create the block but as soon as I cross it it takes me to the Nether, to me it only served as an aesthetic part.
if you dont want to travel into it directly you should not be in creative or if you are on a server go disable nether from server.properties
I put false in allow-nether, but the portal continues to work

It is not a plugin because I loaded the schematic locally and it works, the screen did it from the server locally.
u cant do that on survival but u can use /fill on creative mode and fill a zone with nether portal blocks
if ure in survival u can try covering the obsidian with other blocks so that it seems like theres no obsidian but it'll still be visible when u get in

u need to do /fill [from] [to] nether_portal
"[from]" is the coords of one of the corners and "[to]" is the opposite corner (without the [ ])
So you'd need to do a nether portal but with any block you want replacing the obsidian and then /fill the inside of it with nether_portal (it doesnt need to look like a nether portal tho)

created a working portal for me, takes me to the Nether if I cross it, all I need is the cosmetic block the portal does not have to work for the Nether
