Is there any possible way that a offline 1.8 server can be secure with out a authme or /register plugin?

The problem with a server that does not have /register is that anyone can come on as you and do whatever they want.
If you really don't want register for some reason, try finding a plugin that locks accounts to the Ip they registered with.
