Alrighty, first things first:

DID YOU READ THAT? NO? WELL THEN...

Ahem. Anyway...
Hello! I have a question. Is there any way to get the old minecraft launcher file structure back? I am trying to use modloader for beta 1.6.6, and I know that modloader does not work with the new .minecraft file structure. Downloading a .minecraft for 1.6.6 would be illegal, and even though I once had the old files, I do not have them any longer. So if there is a program for this sort of situation, it would be very nice of someone to tell me the name. By the way, I do have the old launcher.

By old files, you mean the anvil format instead of the regional format?
No, I mean the .minecraft file structure, not the file structure of a world file.
by old file structure, you mean with the bin and the sounds folder? that used to be in the launcher until 1.6?
Yes, I do.
*cough* *cough*

If you find an old launcher you can do that.
Ahem, you may have missed it, but I wrote very specifically:
In the post, I stated that I did have the old launcher, and I am now going to say that the old launcher can no longer download the 1.6.6 beta files, for the old launcher's servers were shut down by Mojang.

i managed to get modloader to work easily... just get multimc, i dont know why people avoid it so much. way better than the vanilla launcher and doesnt mess up mods and whatnot since every version is in its own folder
I have tried to use MultiMC, although it still uses the new launcher file system.
Oi, I haven't gotten a single helpful response...

it uses the new file system but it works, how is it not working?E: you also dont need to install mods manually
Well, MultiMC does not have a specific way to install modloader. By that, I mean that you can't install modloader from the zip. And, yes, I do have to install mods manually, technically, because there is no way not to install mods manually. Even when pushing a button to install a mod, that still takes some handling.
And, if you know that MultiMC will work for sure, give me step by step instructions on how to install IndustrialCraft for beta 1.6.6 onto MultiMC with both the industrialized pickaxes and nanosuit enabled. And here's the hard part: use correct grammar.

Actually, the issue I was having is that I had no idea how to add modloader to an instance.
Thanks! I'll test if it works now. It probably should work, because you tested it first! And, uh, sorry if I was a bit rude before...
lol123406PM'ed you a working industrialcraft instance
