My other computers can't connect to my server

I have been searching all day for a solution and I can't find one.

I have set up several Tekkit servers that my kids and I can play on together. So I tried a CraftBukkit server and they can't connect to it, even though I can. I've obviously port forwarded since the tekkit servers work. I even read that being in a network could prevent them from joining so I left that for each computer (it wasn't working anyway).

I've posted on the minecraft forum and got no response, so I'm hoping someone here could be of some help,

If more info is needed about my issue, please let me know, I'll check back regularly this evening for replies.

Thanks in advance!

If your kids are joining thru same network, they have to use your internal ip (the hosting computer)

eg:
you: localhost (eg: 192.168.0.103)
your kids: 192.168.0.103
public: your external ip (Port forward required)
