Hello and thank you for taking time to view my forum post. You see, I would like to start making texture packs (or maybe just one). However, after downloading WinRAR, I found out that the editor that I planned to use, SumoPaint, works horribly with Minecraft textures (due to the fact that they are too small).
So, I've done a bit of research and Paint.NET seems like the best bet. It fills what I want:
- FREE- I can't afford to pay for something like this
- WORKS WELL- I've heard that its very fast and responsive
These are the main qualities I look for. However, I looked at some of the advertised pictures for this program, and they were actual photographs with high detail. What I want to know from you is, will Paint.NET work well with MC textures with their low resolution, and how large (byte-wise) the actual download is.
Thanks again for your time. I hope that you respond.

Paint.Net is very good, and if you can't find some stuff you can go on the paint.net fourms and look up plugins..... They are lots and some are good and here is one starter that is useful for me when creating my minecraft textures, and other minecraft stuff like banners.

Google on how to put in plugins.

I use a program called Seashore, and It gets the job done. It is extremely simple, so idiots like me can use it without confusion.
I use Paint.NET, it is pretty fantastic. I prefer it over GIMP, but the two programs are extremely similar.
It will definitely work.

Yes it will work!
Paint.NET and Gimp are the best programs to edit MC texturePacks!
Good Luck, Elyki_XD!

Thank you all for help with this!
Especially you, McMineoc, for being the first to answer!
I'm kidding, you all helped. You see, by getting multiple people to say "Yes, Elyki!", it just reinforces the "yes".
So, thank you all!
Stay awesome, guys!
