Paintings Bug

When I try to put a painting in any one block, the painting disappears at the same moment, I need help, can anyone tell me what this is?

Just a bug. It will probably be fixed in the 1.5.1 update.

That's a 1.5 glitch, I believe. Had it when I tested bukkit's 1.5 build. There's nothing you can do about it, other than wait for bug fixes. Also, if you leave the area, and then go back, the paintings should reappear.

It was a bug that is supposed to be fixed with the new 1.5.1 update. Check out http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Version_history#1.5.1
