I told all the staff on my server not to op anyone, and they don't but then these 2 people:
Chillfreezer and TheDutchRival managed to get op. They didn't do much but they almost tried to take over. Because I have PEX, I can't get banned and so I banned them - they probably didn't know me though and I banned them offline. They managed to get back on and get OP again. when I caught them online, I banned and IP banned them again. That means they managed to get on twice. I'm quite concerned and I'm wondering if there would be a way to prevent them/ any other people from logging on and gaining OP by hacking, etc. Any suggestions?

One way of dealing with this is making /op only work from the console and not from ingame
Is there no solution for a server that doesn't use Spigot or 1.8?

Since wurst and Wolfram there has been a bookexploit that when they click it who ever clicks it types in a command (/op /me and /stop) or they can say something. To stop this you need a mod called BookExploitFIX it will remove the exploit on the server
Firstly you need the mod called Spigot
