I have a popular server that i'm re-opening tonight or tomorrow. I have been using group manager, but it's outdated due to i'm on 1.2.3. When I finished the groups.yml file and reloaded the server, it had error stating could not event PluginEnableEvent to essentials. Can anybody help?

Sure. I would be glad to. How can I be of help?
Actually if you get the Full pack of essentials from Jenkins *Link on essentials page on bukkit* and get the one that says its for 1.2 it should work with 1.2.3 or 1.2.4 I guess and even though group manager might not be in the archive it should be auto-matically put in your plug-ins folder after running the server once for essentials.
PermissionsEX is amazing. It has a built in group manager, prefix's, all that fun stuff. You just need to know how to use it. I use it when ever I go to another server.
Can you help me with my problem?
what sed said. PermissionsEX really isn't that good to begin with.
PermissionsEx is amazing. Only people who don't know how to use it would say that. (Cough cough, you, cough cough)
No..as most of the time you get a lot of errors.*Such as me.*
Even when you seem to do what youtube says........

Haha, I have been working with it FOREVER. It is basically second nature to me. I have never encountered any problems unless it was outdated.
I know I have been using Group Manager, but it's outdated due to the fact as the server is on 1.2.3
I actually recommend GroupManager as its much easier and you shouldn't get a lot of errors if you know what you're doing....
Yes, I redid the post. Check it out again it will state why I cant use Group Manager at the moment.
i don't see why you would need the IP to fix it
Easy Peasy, Whats the IP?
it's against the rules to give out personal information on the forums. that and if you had 1,000+ members i find it hard to believe that you could be having problems that you can't fix.
The best solution i have for you is to create the permissions and groups from scratch.
