Persistent visual glitches

Hey guys! So I've been having this problem on my server and sometimes offline worlds for a couple months now. Chunks around me will flash on and off, become invisible, or fail to render. This only ever seems to happen when I travel more than a couple hundred blocks from spawn chunks. I've tried decreasing all my video settings and playing with my render distance and it doesn't seem to stop the problem. Also, once I start seeing these glitches the only way to get rid of them is to shut minecraft down and restart it (simply leaving the world doesn't help). I'm running an Lenovo Ideapad with I7, 8g ram, and Intel 4000 graphics card with up-to-date drivers.

Here's a couple short clips of what is going on:

That seems like a pretty good solution. As I said, I'm kinda without decent internet for the holidays but I'll give all of these a shot as soon as I'm back home. Thanks for all the help!

Then he has to install optifine and see if that works

The solution for me was:

Try switching between these 3 and see the difference. Might be even gone.

You're using optifine though, so he doesn't have those settings.

No, I don't have any mods installed and never have on this PC. I'm going to try reinstalling in a week or so and let you guys know if it helped. Thanks for the suggestions too, I'll give those a shot once I have stable internet again.

A long time ago I had a problem like that and the solution was removing optifine. If you have that installed, see what happens without it.

Not sure if this will do anything, but try disabling Threaded Optimization in your video control panel.
