Piston Farm Help

I have lots of experience with piston farms but I just was wondering if anyone has a design that uses a very little amount of redstone. The smallest amount of redstone needed would be good im planning on buying a plot on a prison server and building a massive pumkin farm and I have a limited supply of redstone.

What do you want your redstone building to do? Are you only lookign for an automatic pumpkin farm?
