Please Help. I Can't take Screenshots!

My computer recently broke down and I had to get a new one. I was forced into using Windows 8 because Microsoft dosen't support the latter anymore. I had to re-install Minecraft, only to find that Windows 8 leaves it bug ridden. I could deal with that.
But then I had a school project that involves one of my hobbies. I chose Minecraft.
This would involve me taking screenshots. I tried to take one and it didn't work. It said it did, but its not there. Please help. Also, don't say "Notch dosent like Windows 8, There is nothing you can do" or anything like that.

You never stated what version you used before.. If your computer came with Windows 8, there are ways you can downgrade to Windows 7, for free, and legally.
F2 key or the Print Screen key and an image editor of your choice.
