I have received the following error: Minecraft Launcher can’t open because it cannot be found. The storage device might be missing or disconnected. I have it on an external drive connected to a USB hub. I don't know what happened. I tried reinstalling it, and I couldn't even run the launcher.

Is the storage device actually connected? Or is it in some kind of sleepmode?

Does the drive letter of the location it's trying to find and your external drive match? In my experience, the OS switching external drive letters is the most come cause of these errors.
