Please help! New server guide.

Hey guys I searched around a lot and all the guides I've been able to find seemed really outdated - they tell admins to add more plugins than they need, really old plugins which are obsolete, and leave out important stuff like how to pick a good host.

So I've started a new one where I'm trying to cover the bare essentials, and your feedback would be really helpful in filling the gaps I might have missed.
