PLEASE HELP! WORKING ON ADVENTURE MAP!
Not sure where to post this exactly, but whatever.
So, I am in the middle of creating an adventure/puzzle map on my singleplayer world.
I saved my world, made a .rar file of it and made a download of it on mediafire of what I had so far. I did this to show my friend to see what he thought, but when he installed the world files, my builds I created were not there and it spawned him in a different area, how do I fix this? Please help

Make sure that your friend uses the same version of Minecraft as you did while creating the map.
Maybe provide the actual download link your friends used? For us to check.

What I did was, I compressed the world file into a .rar file and allowed him to download it. But it spawns him in a different area, and when I do tell him the coords, builds arent there
Maybe you used the wrong map?
The other possibility is you didn't set your spawnpoint in the right place.
Try telling him the spawn coords.
