ok, so i have been trying to setup a proper server for a while now. i can connect to my own server, but no one else can! and open port checking tools always say it is closed! i have unblocked the ports in my firewall, antivirus software, and unblocked java. i have followed ALL the directions to port forward, the server even WORKS, just that people can't connect. it might be because of my router though. i have a netgear wndr3300, and i hear people have had a lot of trouble port forwarding on it. yet there was a firmware update that supposedly fixed it! is there a way to fix this, WITHOUT having to get a new router?
thanks,
Ethan

I know how frustrating this is. But you probably won't find your answers here. Ask a tech consultant that works for your router company you'll probably find the answer there.
