Port Forwarding?
I just set up a new server and it works in my own network, but sdoesn't reach outside of my Wi-Fi. In other words, Its running exactly like an LAN server, something that I don't want.

In order to port-forward you must access your Router.
If you're running on windows follow these steps:
1. Go to start > Type in "run" > Then typing in "cmd" and hit enter.
2. Find you're default gateway > Type you're default gateway into your browser. > It will ask for a username and password. Check your router and the user name and pass should be printed on the router or a sticker should be on it.
3. Go to your options and try to find "Port-forwarding/Triggering" Then after finding it you add a custom server. Then fill in the name and name it any thing you want. Then put in your IPV4 address from "cmd" and put the port as :255565 and apply. If your still having trouble go to portforwarding.com or a portforwarding website.

Not sure if you have it working yet or not, but the no-ip shouldnt effect your portforwarding. I would use this http://www.portchecktool.com to see if you forwarding is working. If it is then it could be a problem with the way you have your no-ip working. To be sure you could give a friend your external ip and have them try to connect with it. Also make sure you havent changed the default port in your server config.
The exact steps depend on what router you have. However, you first need to go to your routers configuration page by typing the ip in the browser. It is probably 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 but it could be different. Then you need to sign in, and look for a place where it says port forwarding -- on mine it is under the applications and gaming tab. Then open 25565 and you should be set.
I've tried doing that on single port forwarding but people still say that they cant connect. I am also using no-ip.com if that makes a difference.
