i'm trying to see if my attempt at port forwarding worked. will someone please try to connect to 192.168.1.21:25565 ? please post whether it worked.

Guarantee that wont work that is your local ip relative to the router. That is the ip you need to port forward. Go to mywanip.com and then post that ip address for people to connect to.
