Hi guys, so I have a backup of a map from the server I run and it's the only remaining backup of the "old map" we previously used. I wanted to be able to view this map again to take screenshots for a project I'm putting together. Unfortunately, I believe it's corrupted. The actual map size is a little bit over a gigabyte but Minecraft only reports around 38 megabytes. Many chunks are missing and have been regenned. I've tried Chunkster, Region Fixer, you name it and they're all drawing blanks.

I'm willing to pay $50 to anyone who can this map working again, it's that necessary.

Here is the link to download the map: http://hugefiles.net/fga64nxx81rz

Anyone who can try, or just offer suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If your world got corrupted you can try to repair it with MCEdit. Open the offending world in MCEdit, press 'ctrl-i' and select 'Repair regions' in the dialogue which pops up. Once this has completed, save your world and exit MCEdit.

To download MCEdit, go to http://www.mcedit.net/ and choose the version appropriate for your OS.

It's using the Anvil format, it's just that we had the Spout plugin installed which cached the chunks in a different format just for Spout usage. It had not effected the region folder nor the data one.
