Prefix Problem

I am having problem with Prefixes. Everytime the first letter will always become a aqua color letter.
Ex &4[&5Owner&4] shows up as &b[&5Owner&4] in the game.
&8[&7Test&8] shows up as &b[&7Test&8] in the game.
If you know how to fix this problem, please tell me. I have been having this problem for a long time and I need help.

Are your prefixes set with PEX or another permissions manager? Do you have any other plugins concerning chat functions installed?
I'm not sure what CEO is talking about, there is no Prefix color override inside essentials that I am aware of...and to clarify I'm not going to make you join a server just to talk to me...That's just insane...it's a forum man. Post to answer or don't post.

I'll take a wild guess and say you have a specific Prefix color set to Essentials Chat. If you need help, find me on my server below (banner).

That's weird. Do you have any special chat manager, or just EssentialsChat?
