Problem with Minecraft on Mac

At first it was moderately ok but then I tried using the snapshot. Everytime I tried to click I had to click 2-4 times for it to register and this only happens with Minecraft. A few buttons down work at all. I switched back to 1.15.2 and it worked after a few, but then I switched back to the new snapshot and it did the same thing again. What to do?

my mac is on the newest version, calatina
