Problems with newest snapshot (17w46a)

Ok, whenever I try to open minecraft it does it just like normal.. but as soon as it opens it will either immediately stop responding to my key presses (I can still see that the background is moving so I know it hasn't stopped or frozen) or mouse clicks or sometimes it will last until I open a world or get on a new menu... can someone please help, I really want to check out the new snapshot. Please post any suggestions or help in the comments.

P.S. It works fine on all other versions just not on the newest snapshots.
