Promotion Plugin
Hiya guys, I got a new host for my server, and as I was setting it up, this question hit me, "How will players promote themselves without you?". So I replyed to myself, "Oh crap."
I am being extra careful with this new host, I really don't want to break anything! So tell me, are there any selfpromotion plugins like PWpromote or ButtonPromote that will work with the Bukkit 1.4.2 Beta build?
Please reply as soon as you can, I really want to get the server back up soon.

I filmed a guide on how to use PermissionsEx. Check it out and hope it helps!

If you want your users to be able to promote you'll need to use command signs or something like that. I'll have a guide for that next week.
Or give them access to the promote command, although you cannot promote yourself.

Ha ha! Thanks for all the help buddies, but I think I'll go with purefocus's idea, but I still want to thank the rest of you who suggested something!
PermissionsEx has built in 'default' option for a group. It will promote a newly connected user to it instantly. Also, everyone without a rank would have this default one. Remember that there might be only one default group.

PEX has a built in promote feature that you could use in conjunction with CommandSigns that user's could use to promote themselves but most Prison servers use Command Rank from what I've seen.

They shouldn't have to, if you add a Permissions plugin then just give them default permissions.
