Protection against ForceOP?
Most "ForceOP" software on YouTube is fake, but I recently found some ForceOP videos that are legitimate (not posting them). Is there anyway to protect your server against them? I don't know if previous patches or any of that stuff applies. Thanks.

Another solution (not to toot my own horn) would be the permissions plugin I'm working on. As of current, you can set permissions for console and rconsole, and in the future (version 0.2) you'll be able to set permissions for op's.
Otherwise, I would probably say that you just disallow op altogether.

SuzyKim actually there are such things as "Force OP"... I dont know how they work, but my friend got one somehow. He proved it to my by hacking a server, and it worked. The best way to "counter" this is to download http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/oppassword/. Then in the config, setup a password. After I set this up, i told my friend to try to hack into my server, but it didnt work. Hope this helped!
No such thing as ForceOP. Only thing is if you download an infected plugin. Just download plugins from Bukkit and you should be safe.
I understand this, many of the YouTube videos out there are fakes (probably viruses) and downloading plugins that aren't from Bukkit is risky. However, for whatever reason, I found legitimate ForceOPs out there.
