Do you have the choice of the size of a lot in Towny? If so (or even if not) what is the average size of a lot in your game? My guess is that 30 x 30 is a fairly good size but want to have inputs from users.

Thanks for taking the time to answer this question!

Thanks for your feedback! The fact is that I am currently working on a set of rules to help out people who wants a good structure with or without Towny and I see that I was eay off with my 30 x 30 idea ... Should have stick to my first idea of 15 x 15 but since default for Towny is 16 x 16 I think I will go with that!

The basic idea is to link 4 lots together to make a big square (With the new infos you guys provided that would be 32 x 32). This group of 4 lots is called a District and I'm thinking more but will have to make a Blog post for that!

RedemptionSmp16x16 is the default and works perfectly.

Agreed. It's plenty enough to build a house and you can build up or down and add floors to add other things as well. Or you could build a shop and live above it on another floor.

16x16 is the default and works perfectly. 1x1 is extremely dumb, why would you do that?

If you lowered the price enough, you could create custom lots to protect certain things, ex. Walls, Town Halls.

But I do agree that 1x1 is a little too small, I like playing at 3x3 to 10x10

I like the 5x5 lots.

The smaller the better! I once played on a server that had 1x1 plots and those are great. Smaller plots and lower PPL (Price Per Lot) = More freedom = More happiness = More donations. It's simple.
