xAudaa1. It can be any size over 100x100, if it's bigger the avatar will automatically adjust itself to fit the dimensions.
2. Level 20 and above.
As for the second part of the first question, i'm not too sure. All this google+ stuff is confusing. I'm pretty sure you have to link a google+ account to your YouTube and change the avatar from there.CAPTAIN_GOTENKSTo change click the arrow next to your account name, click settings, then click change under your avatar.
You would do that with the old YouTube. New layout doesn't work like that.
My account still works that way. It's still a possible answer
