Ok guys enough talk more action I've been trying to make a server for the past 3 hours....kinda...getting somewhere...but nowhere really.
Need some help from you guys!
ok so Ive started opening ports...But here the thing I'm not sure what ports to open it looks like its a 4 digit number followed by another 4 digit number...any guesses guys also, I'm making it a TCP and a UDP is this correct? I tried 25565 But I don't think it works.
any suggestions, Will add screen shots if it helps.

but there is a windows pc in the house on the same router, perhaps i could try from that?
Yeah it will work if you do it from a diff pc. If it's connected to the same router then you're good.
I'm running on a mac
go to simpleportforwarding.com and download the program. It has a little guide on the right in the program. It worked wonders for me and my friend.
