Ram question

Hello I am thinking about getting a server for me and my cousin to play on - I looked at BeastNode and found that Chicken, Sheep, and Wolf are within my budget (I could pay more, but don't really want to) however I am wondering if they are going to be able to handle what we will be doing.
To give you an idea of what we'll be doing:
-Normally with him I play vanilla.
-It will only be two people (however he lives in Virginia and I live in Florida).
-That's it.
My question: is 256MB of ram enough for two people or will I be expecting lag?

256MB of RAM is plenty as long as you're not looking to make it an intensive server by default (say, multiworld might be a large drag, or heavy logging plugins).
You may not be looking for it, but I would suggest looking into a few other hosts as well as Beastnode, including x-rayhost, exodus hosting, or Multiplay
