Hi, I'm making a puzzle map which is using redstone. The thing is the redstone seems to be skipping ticks of 'lagging'. Its not a server and my client does not lag. There is not a ton of redstone. I am no longer using command block clocks now, just hopper and redstone torch. Does anybody have any solutions or ideas of what may be causing it?
Thanks in advance

Try using a hopper+comparator clock, they work the same and are much more compressed.

Use commandblock clocks, with the setblock. To me it doesn't give lag.
To me it does
That says more about your pc than about the mechanism.
I have quite a good laptop.
8gb of ram
Nvada graphincs
My game does not lag. I get about 150fps. Its the redstone that is slow

Provide a world download, so we can see if the same is happening to us (what means something is wrong with mc/the map) or if everything is just fine for us (what means it's something with your pc).
Try using a different clock. Some may be less prone to stopping and if your clocks too fast that might actually be the cause of the lag.
Hopper timers arent bad
Thanks Karrthus.
Imad, what all of it?
Imad, what all of it?
Can you pin point where in the mechanism this is happening?
Never used a command block, are they the cause?

commands blocks generally are not that laggy..unlessy ou are executing some insane shizzle with then
Could you expand on 'skipping ticks of lagging' please?
A clock signal that isn't regular?
Redstone pulses are being missed entirely?

is it just visually skipping ticks, or is the actual current skipping ticks?

redstone torch clocks are pretty laggy (when used a lot), because it forces a chunk update. You can probably solve this by moving all these clocks to the world spawn (because these chunks are always loaded, so the clocks won't result into chunk updates)
we need photos to help you
Will this help?
