Renaming Items to avoid confusion??

So, lately I've been downloading mods and all, and everything has been quite dandy, and I'm having a truckload of fun.

Now, today I decided to try out the Forestry mod, and after reading up on it, decided to use it along with Thermal Foundation and IndustrialCraft.

Although, there's a tiny little problem with that plan: each one of these mods have their own individual copper ore and... they all have the same name and veeery similar icons and honestly it's very hard to tell which one belongs to which mod.

Yeah, that ain't gonna fly. I mean, I thought about putting them in separate chests labelled accordingly, but that's a huge chore and not fun at all.........

So, I wanted to ask if there's any way to change the name of these items so I could actually tell them apart. Like, rename the generic "Copper Ingot" name to something like "Forestry Copper" or anything that can help me identify which is which. I dug around folders and files but couldn't find anything that could help me >:

Any help with this is going to be greatly appreciated! Although, if there's no way to change the item names, I guess it's back to the plan of putting them in separate boxes XD

Oh my God, so, I've played more of the map with the mods and now I feel like an idiot because all ores, despite coming from different mods and having slightly different sprites, all behave the same way and there's no real distinction between them well OK then

Like i can just mix and match them and there's no difference I'm just going to... go over there and facepalm real hard.......

Yeah, if you have NEI (notenoughitems) installed the recipes shift from all of the kinds of copper

Oh, Ok, both these options seem like good ones. Specially converting everything to one type of ore. I was worried about "mixing" the three types of ores in case I end up not being able to craft something specific to a mod, but apparently that's not an issue? I'm super noob at this whole modding thing and I'm always worried about breaking them or painting myself into a corner where I can't craft something in particular because I wasted material foolishly *haha*

I'll try both things and see what I adapt best. Thanks for the quick replies by the way!

What i do is pretty much convert all of the copper to one mod, since it all works with each other because of oredictionary, put all of the copper in a macerator or a pulverizer and then smelt them back to ingots, or better yet to get more copper of one type in the first place, pulverize or macerate the ore then smelt the dust

I think if you get "Too Many Items" (TEI) or "Not Enough Items" (NEI) they label which mod items belong to underneath their names. (I'm pretty sure TEI's out of date)
For example, if you hovered over one of those ingots it might say:
Copper Ingot
Forestry

I'm pretty sure it's these that show you which mod they belong to, and NEI's super useful anyway
