Renting a server

I've had someone tell me I should make a server so I'm considering it. My computer isn't set up for that though so I would need to rent one. I'm sorta on a budget and I want to know which place would give me the best for my money. How much RAM I should have, how many players I should start out with, because I want it to be a pubic, I never really liked whitelists. They remind me of high school clicks. I am open to any and all advice really.

gramoobiwww.craftyourbox.com is the best price to quailty and id suggest starting with around 20 slots at first

Honestly, I wouldn't buy from a host that rents out a 192gb server for 2 bucks a month. It's kind of pathetic

You didnt read anything did you http://www.craftyourbox.com/billing/cart.php?gid=1

Good prices for minecraft 192gb is probably diskspace not ram lol not possible to have that much ram

Well, you could go cheap for bad quality hosting computers and a bad quality host in general, or you could pay a few bucks extra to get way better quality. I don't understand why everyone is hating on beastnode anyways, I think people lag on it just because they over estimate the RAM:slots/world border/plugin ratio.

I disagree have owned a 2 gig ram beast node server and a 2 gig cheapestminecraftservers server should be the same right? I had lag with 30 plugins 10 players with beast node my new server from cheapest has 40 + plugins and has gotten up to 37 players no lag (recommended slots is 45 never got it that high) also beastnodes control panel was laggy and my server from them crashed on a weekly basis

Beastnode sucks i would never recommend it to anyone..\

Also cheapest isnt always the best option. They could be overselling on the servers. This in return will lagg your server also

BTW that host sucks cheapestminecraftservers

I pinged them and they use Veriozon Fios as the internet connection. That internet isnt going to be top quality hosting.

Raptor12I suggest http://www.cheapestminecraftservers.com for I think $18 you get 2 gigs of ram I have that size server from them and it's lag free with about 30 plugins and 15 + players that size rank is for about 45 people but you can set max slots to anything but much over 45 and it will lag. this is a good starting size to then you can upgrade it when you get close to 45 players but it takes quite some time to get a lot of active players

I just checked its acually $17 this company is defiantly the cheapest host I found beast node is like $20 for 1 gig or ram

A creative server...I can't afford a really expensive one...My budget is a bit flexible. If I'm given a estimate I could tell you if I could afford it or not.
