1.6 Resource pack trouble

I think that the title is a bit confusing, but this shouldn't be. I was camping during the 1.6 update, and was not in the default texture pack during the update. So now the screen for minecraft takes a screenshot of what was behind it and that becomes the screen for the entire thing. I was just wondering if anyone experienced something isimilar or knows a way to solve this issue. THANK YOU!

Open %appdata%/.minecraft/options.txt
Look for the option called 'skin' change the name to the right of it to 'Default'
