Revent Re-entry of a region on a pvp server

Some background info you might need:
I'm working on setting up a pvp server, using the usual plugins:
essensials (antibuild, chat, protect, spawn), pex, world edit/guard, multiverse core, plugman and towny.
Im running a 1.8.8 spigot server.
To the point:
As the title say, I want a player to be unable to re-enter a region once walking outside it. Say, a person is at spawn, where pvp obviously is turned off, person then walks outside of spawn to find an ambush and walks straight back into spawn protection.
How to i prevent these people from walking back into the region but allow them to /spawn, /back or even /home back into this region
I've searched far and wide but didn't find anything, but please do me the favor and don't tell me it isn't possible, cause I've been on a server that had this installed.
