Scale maps [Help]

Hi, so like to recreate real life countries in minecraft using height maps in World Painter, but the problem is, I can't really tell the scale of the map I am doing because I dont know where it tells it (ex: 1:100, 1:1500, etc)
Would appreciate if someone told me how can I know the scale. Thanks
