Schematic downloading issue

So when i try to download any sort of schematic, I get sent to a new webpage called ad.fly which then that site sends me to a random site or to a broken link. at no point does the schematic actually download however after attempting a few times planetminecraft claims I have downloaded the file too many times recently. its not downloaded, I have nothing in my downloads folder and have no clue what I'm doing wrong. i would have assumed i just click download and be done with it. also all the random sites I'm sent to have absolutely nothing to do with anything Minecraft related.
TLDR: hitting download on a schematics download button does anything but download the schematic.

Whenever you are taken to an adf.ly page, do not click on any pop-ups or links that are shown on that site. Most of the time, they are malicious or simply fake sites or ads. Wait until the "please wait 5 seconds" timer in the top-right is finished, then click on the yellow "skip ad" button. Sometimes you'll be taken to the download page, and other times, adf.ly may ask you to enable notifications on your browser. Enable them and then you should be taken to the actual Mediafire or Google Drive download page. Once you've downloaded the file, go into your browser's settings and remove adf.ly's permission to send notifications to your PC, as once again, those notifications are usually scams or malicious ads trying to get you to download spyware.

Hmm I have issues on this site with certain browsers like chromium and midori
what web browser are you using?
Certain ad blockers conflict with adfly as well
and is there a certain schematic it’s happening with?
its an odd issue I haven’t heard before so all info helps in figuring things out
