Hi!
Hopefully i am right in this section, when not, mod please move my thread.
I am starting to use worldedit. And i read that you can use "Schematicbrushes" to set rocks (what i already downloaded) and otherstuff. The thing is, every tutorial what i found is for a server. And i dont play on a server, just for me alone (i dont like multiplayer). Here's my question, is there a way to use the Schematicbrush just in normal play? And how do i set it up?

I had this confusion when I first started. I think schematics work in WorldEdit in both single-player (adapted) and server, but by limiting yourself to single-player, you are missing out on fantastic server-only mods. For example, I love using Voxel Sniper on an older version. You can run a server just for you on your computer, then load up Minecraft and join it via multiplayer. This way, it will feel no different to playing in standard single-player. Please don't worry, it sounds more complex than it actually is and nobody else will be able to join unless they are on your home network. You will need to run the type of server that is compatible with the mods you want to run.

I've been looking for the answer to a similar kind of dilemma, thank you UncleBase! But I'm guessing that to create a local server like this and then play it, I'd need to have quite a tough computer, not just my laptop... Is there a way to find someone else's server to try it out? I want to give Voxel Sniper a try but I doubt my laptop is beefy enough to run a server itself. I hope this isn't a dumb question, I'm fairly new to mods and things.

It is certainly not a dumb question. Surprisingly, if you run a server on your laptop and you are the only one in it, it should run around the same performance as single-player. This is because Minecraft's biggest performance bottleneck is the player's draw distance (measured in chunks). As long as you don't invite 200 of your friends in to play, you will be fine.
Using somebody else's server will not work because you need complete control. When you start a server, you have a folder where all mods are loaded. You cannot run new mods once the server is running. Another reason is that the map file is saved when the server shuts down, and that's how you save your current work.
