God dang it. I tried to advertise my server today but it said it can't be pinged. I figured it was bs so I tried to ping it myself but it didn't work. My server requires a port to connect. I have tried to connect to my server through Minecraft and it works?... :/ I've contacted my server host to sort out the problem but if he can't fix it... How am I supposed to advertise my server? (BTW, it's port-forwarded) The IP is: 37.59.13.161:21345 try it out for yourself. This kinda pisses me off.

Assuming that the person you're hosting with uses a linux-based operating system, make sure that their iptable configuration allows outgoing responses to pings. There are different settings on them, and one of those is to simply be "dead in the water", and send no reply or indication the server is active on an ICMP ping request.
