So I've been running a server with a few friends for a couple years now. Recently, however, the OP command has stopped working. The command adds names to the ops.txt file but the game does not recognize any of our players as actually having OP status. Any suggestions?

I'm actually running a vanilla server. No Bukkit no plugins. Sorry, that was probably information I should have mentioned from the start.
Probaly a plugin. Make sure that you get all the plugins from bukkit's website.
