Server connection issues

For some reason whenever I try to connect to one of my servers it says something like "connection refused" or "java timed out" and such.
It's not the server because others can connect but I can't

If it is only that single server, it could be a corrupt character save on their end. If you can contact their admins, you may want to have them remove your character file. You will lose your current map location and any items in your enderchest. I have ran across this problem a few times. It is rare. Again, only if it is with one particular server.
There are other factors too. It could be a routing issue. You may want to run a traceroute to that IP (and reverse if possible). Make sure there are no hiccups along the way.
