I have seen servers with the IP like mc.hc-craft.com, mc.exiledgaming.net and mc.battle4utopia.com. I've wondered how you get that mc. part. Does anyone know what site they used to get that domain, Is it free?

Thank you all for all your submissions! It really helped! Thank you again!
If you register your own domain (Less than $10/year) you can then update your A-Records to point to a sub domain.
For instance:
I own mcfriends.us. So www.mcfriends.us goes to my website but game.mcfriends.us goes to my server and I have one set aside for my personal development environment.
Theres a lot you can do if you own your own domain.

There are some free domain providers out there, such as No-IP.com and DynDns.com
A lot really depends on your needs. If you are hosting your server at home and have a dynamic IP address, you're going to need a service like this to keep the IP updated. If you've got a host and they provide you with the address (10.10.150.10:25567 or something), then you have more options.
You can use No-IP.com or DynDNS.com for this too, even if you have a static address. So you can make yourself an A record for Yourname.Freedomain.com or whatever one you choose.
The other option is to purchase a domain name, like I have done. I bought mine through No-IP.com and I have had it for years. It's fairly cheap to buy a domain these days, and if you want a professional looking server I would suggest spending the $10 on it. It looks a lot better to have mc.Mydomain.com rather than Myservername.zapto.org or something.
Hope this helps!

the mc part is still part of the other domain. its called a sub domain. Lets say I own xyz.com. Now if I wanted to I could make mc.xyz.com if I wanted to.
